Stand at the corner of Main and Orchard on a July Thursday around 6 p.m. Look one way and you can see the crowd gathering at Sequoit Creek Park for the walk over to the Antioch Bandshell. Look the other way, out toward Grass Lake Road, and the boat trailers are already lined up at Port of Blarney.
Both scenes are Antioch. Neither is a tourist itinerary. And the thing residents figure out by their second or third summer here is that the village runs on two overlapping calendars, not one, and the trick is knowing how they braid instead of collide.
